In this interactive workshop, participants will explore a range of forward-looking scenarios at the intersection of artificial intelligence and nuclear technologies. As the convergence of AI and nuclear systems presents both unprecedented opportunities and significant risks, this session will provide a structured space for reflection, dialogue, and evaluation.
We will begin by introducing a curated set of future scenarios, each highlighting a distinct pathway through which AI might influence nuclear decision-making, risk assessment, arms control, and global security dynamics. Participants will work through these scenarios collectively, assessing their plausibility, strategic implications, and the societal, political, and technological conditions that could lead to their realization.
The workshop will employ the Confido app as a participatory tool, enabling attendees to cast informed votes on the likelihood of each scenario. Please bring your laptop or phones fully charged.
