A new chapter for EA Czechia: Passing the torch to you, the community members

At the start of 2026, EA Czechia is going to undergo a significant transition. After a period of growth driven by a professional community building team, we need to change the way we do things. The paid community building team will be disbanding, and we are moving towards a community-led model.

Why the change?

After several years of having a professional community building team, we couldn’t renew the grant from which the community builders were paid. With that, we stood before a difficult decision about how to continue. In the end, we (the board & core team) decided that the most responsible way forward would be to transition EA Czechia into a volunteer-run organization. This transition will give us the time and space to re-think the way we have been running things and it will create a space for new people and new formats.

The Vision

Our vision is a community where members feel a strong sense of personal responsibility for EA in Czechia. We want to move away from a „service provider“ model to a true „community“ model – where you don’t just attend events, but anybody has the autonomy to stand up and make them happen.

Call for action

For the next steps to succeed, we need you – the community members. We are looking for people who want to shape the „new story“ of EA Czechia.
