Conference on Strategies for a More Secure Future in Public Health
People often envision a future without diseases, yet they simultaneously accept them as a fact of life when it comes to making investments in prevention. The experience of the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted important changes in this area. We have invited pioneers who research how to maintain this progress to share their insights and solutions.
The conference will be divided into three sections: policy-making, communication, and technology.
Further details will be provided later, and speakers will be introduced on the Facebook event page. After each talk, there will be office hours with the speakers.
The conference will take place on the 25th of November in Prague. The venue will be announced soon.
The key questions we will address at the conference include, but are not limited to:
- Why is pandemic preparedness important and challenging?
- What areas have improved, and which still need the most attention?
- What is the state of international coordination on biosecurity?
- What technologies can systematically help increase resilience against biological threats?
- What social dynamics should be addressed in crisis communications?
